No. 3 Louisville beats Houston to make semis

Uncasville, CT (SportsNetwork.com) - Shoni Schimmel had 15 points and Antonita Slaughter scored 14 as No. 3 Louisville rolled to an 88-43 win over Houston to make the semifinals of the American Athletic Conference tournament.
Sara Hammond added 11 points and Bria Smith scored 10 as Louisville (29-3) bounced back from Monday's loss to Connecticut.
The second-seeded Cardinals moved on to face third-seeded South Florida in Sunday's semifinals. South Florida easily beat Temple 72-44 on Saturday.

Jessieka Palmer had 13 points to pace the 10th-seeded Cougars (6-25), who had knocked off seventh-seeded Memphis on Friday to snap a six-game losing streak. They were just 1-17 in conference play in the regular season.
Louisville never trailed in the game and led by as many as 48 points late in the second half.
