No. 11 Penn State women defeat Minnesota 74-51

Maggie Lucas scored 24 points and dished out eight assists to lead No. 11 Penn State over Minnesota 74-51 Sunday.
Lucas, the Nittany Lions' leading scorer (19.1 points per game) was 8 of 18 from the field and made all six of her free throws. Penn State shot 45.2 percent from the field (28 of 62) and forced 17 Minnesota turnovers.
Leading 18-9, Penn State (23-5, 11-3 Big 10 Conference) went on a 31-9 run over the next 6:44 to pull away in its seventh straight win. Lucas scored six points during the spurt.

The Nittany Lions, who have won 12 of 13, led 39-17 at halftime and stretched their lead to as many as 33 twice in the second half.
Zhaque Gray added 18 points for Penn State.
The Gophers (14-16, 7-9) were led by Kiara Bufford with 11 points and Rachel Banham and Micaella Riche with 10 each.
