No. 1 UConn races past Cincy and into semis
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Uncasville, CT (SportsNetwork.com) - Breanna Stewart scored 22 points and No. 1 Connecticut raced to a 72-42 win over Cincinnati in the quarterfinals of the American Athletic Conference tournament on Saturday.
The Huskies (32-0) pushed their winning streak to 38 games and moved on to play No. 24 Rutgers in the semifinals on Sunday. Rutgers routed SMU 68-49 on Saturday.
Bria Hartley added 17 points for the reigning national champions, who were coming off Monday's 20-point win over No. 3 Louisville to clinch the first American Athletic Conference regular-season title and wrap up their third unbeaten regular season in six years.

The Bearcats beat UCF in the first round on Friday to snap a two-game losing streak, but never led against the Huskies and shot just 32 percent.
UConn's lead was in single digits until a 10-0 run led by Stewart's six points pushed it to 14 with five minutes left in the first half.
