NHL suspends Byfuglien 4 games
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The National Hockey League handed down a four-game suspension to Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien on Thursday.
Byfuglien received the punishment for cross-checking forward J.T. Miller during Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the New York Rangers.
The incident occurred at 17:20 of the second period. Miller fell to the ice as he swatted at a rebound just outside the crease. While Miller was on his side, Byfuglien forcefully drove his stick into the back of Miller's neck.
