Ground-and-pound offense is alive and well in the NFC North.
Through Week 4 of the 2015 NFL season, the league's top two rushing yardage leaders hail from NFC North teams. Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson leads the league with 372 yards; Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte is right behind him with 367.

Peterson has powered the Vikings to two wins with an average of 5.0 yards per carry. After missing all but the season-opener last year, the All-Pro running back is aiming for 2,500 yards and a rushing title in 2015. He's on pace to accomplish the latter but not the former.
Forte is not as effective as Peterson on a yards-per-carry basis (4.4), but he offers more as a pass-catcher with 13 receptions for 133 yards this season. The versatile running back's efforts haven't equated to wins for the 1-3 Bears, though.

These two blistering backs go head-to-head on Nov. 1, when the Bears and Vikings clash in Week 8.
