Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Washington Nationals placed pitcher Craig Stammen on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with stiffness in his right forearm.
The right-handed reliever has appeared in five games this season, allowing two hits, walking three and striking out three over four innings.
Washington manager Matt Williams said that Stammen will undergo more tests on Thursday.
To replace Stammen on the roster, the Nats recalled pitcher Taylor Jordan from Triple-A Syrcuse. The right-hander has a major league record of 1-6 with a 4.31 ERA.
