The future has arrived for the Washington Nationals.

In the midst of a 14-6 start, the Nationals called up 19-year-old phenom Bryce Harper from Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday before a game against the Dodgers.

Harper will make his highly-anticipated major league debut in the game.

The Nationals placed third baseman Ryan Zimmerman on the 15-day disabled list with a sore right shoulder to make room for Harper on the roster. The move is retroactive to April 21.

Harper, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 draft, batted .286 in nine spring training games for Washington and was hitting .250 with one homer and three runs batted in over 20 games for Syracuse.
