COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Napheesa Collier had 22 points and 10 rebounds and the U.S. women's team beat Canada 107-76 on Friday night in the FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship to finish pool play 3-0.
Collier, from O'Fallon, Missouri, also had four steals. Brianna Turner of Pearland, Texas, added 21 points and eight rebounds and set U.S. U18 women's records for free throws made and attempted on 9-of-11 shooting.
On Saturday in the semifinals, the United States will face Argentina, and Brazil will meet Canada. All four teams qualified for the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship in Russia.
The U.S. opened Group A play Wednesday night with a 104-55 victory over Mexico, and beat El Salvador 118-50 on Thursday night.
Shaylisha Colley led Canada with 21 points.
