Moroccan wild card stuns Garcia-Lopez in Casablanca

Casablanca, Morocco (SportsNetwork.com) - Moroccan wild card Lamine Ouahab stunned top-seeded and defending champion Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-3, 6-3 in Thursday's second-round action at the Grand Prix Hassan II tennis event.
The 30-year-old journeyman Ouahab, ranked 313th in the world, tallied four service breaks en route to his big win on Day 4.
The world No. 24 Garcia-Lopez tiled here a year ago by beating Marcel Granollers in an all-Spanish final on the clay courts at Complexe Al Amal.

In other action involving seeds, No. 3 Czech Jiri Vesely topped Russian veteran Mikhail Youzhny 7-6 (9-7), 6-3 and Spaniard Daniel Gimeno-Traver upended No. 4 Mikhail Kukushkin of Kazakhstan 6-1, 4-1, retired.
One other second-rounder saw Brit Aljaz Bedene best Belgian fellow qualifier Arthur De Greef 6-2, 6-3.
Friday's quarterfinals will pit second-seeded Slovak Martin Klizan against former top-10 Spaniard Nicolas Almagro; Vesely versus Bedene; sixth-seeded Austrian Andreas Haider-Maurer against Bosnian Damir Dzumhur; and Ouahab versus another Spaniard, Daniel Gimeno-Traver.
