2024 World Series odds: New York teams top oddsboard

The New York Yankees were sitting atop the oddsboard as the lone favorite to win the World Series earlier this week, but they were overtaken on Wednesday by the Padres, after they took a 2-1 lead over the Dodgers in their NL divisional tilt on Tuesday.
But after the Dodgers evened that series on Wednesday evening, the Yankees returned to the driver's seat.

ODDS TO WIN 2024 WORLD SERIES:
New York Yankees: +250 (bet $10 to win $45 total)
New York Mets: +330 (bet $10 to win $60 total)
Los Angeles Dodgers: +350 (bet $10 to win $90 total)
Detroit Tigers: +500 (bet $10 to win $100 total)
San Diego Padres: +600 (bet $10 to win $40 total)
Cleveland Guardians: +1400 (bet $10 to win $100 total)
Kansas City Royals: +1700 (bet $10 to win $90 total)
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Don't look now, but the Yankees have company from their crosstown rivals near the top of the oddsboard, as the Mets have the second-shortest odds to win it all.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Mets were third at +500. However, they punched their ticket to the NLCS with a 4-1 win over the Phillies that evening, causing their odds to take a leap.
Meanwhile, the Padres went from +300 to +600 after their Game 4 loss to the Dodgers, L.A. went to +350 from +500 with its Game 4 win, and the Royals went from +800 to +1700 after their Game 3 loss to the Yankees,
