Nashville, TN – Dee Bost's layup with 51 seconds remaining in winner as No. 18 Mississippi State overcame digit halftime deficit to take down Vanderbilt, 78-77.
Vanderbilt had a few chances to win it following missed free throws by Bost and Arnett Moultrie in the extra period, but John Jenkins' shot at the buzzer was off the mark.
Bost finished with 24 points while Moultrie provided 21 points and 14 rebounds for the Bulldogs (16-4, 3-2 SEC), who were 9-of-10 from beyond the arc in the second half and overtime.
Jenkins had 21 points, Jeffery Taylor netted 19 and Festus Ezeli poured in 12 points to go with 14 rebounds for Vanderbilt (14-5, 4-1), which had its eight- game winning streak snapped.
