Minnesota Wild sign 3 defensemen to entry-level contracts
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Minnesota Wild have signed three defensemen to entry-level contracts.
The Wild signed Josh Caron, Colton Jobke and Jared Spurgeon on Wednesday. All three will help beef up the blue line in their minor league affiliates.
The 20-year-old Spurgeon had the most productive season of the three last year. He had eight goals and 51 assists in 54 games for Spokane in the Western Hockey League.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The 19-year-old Caron spent last season playing for Kamloops in the WHL. He had one goal and five assists in 60 games. The 18-year-old Jobke played last year with the Kelowna Rockets, posting eight assists in 69 games.
