The New York Mets announced on Tuesday that outfielder Lucas Duda underwent surgery to repair a fractured right wrist.
The procedure was performed by the club's hand specialist, Dr. Andrew Weiland, at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan on Monday. Duda sustained the injury when moving furniture in his southern California residence last month.
Duda, a 26-year-old native of Los Angeles, is expected to be recovered for spring training. He batted .239 with 15 home runs and 57 RBI in 121 games in 2012.
