Memphis intercepts Middle Tennessee twice, leading to 2 touchdowns, in 24-17 win
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Ray Gregory scored two touchdowns following interceptions for Middle Tennessee in a 24-17 win over Memphis on Saturday night.
Gregory, who rushed for 121 yards on 25 carries, scored on a 9-yard run to give the Tigers (1-2) a 10-3 lead early in the second quarter.
Todd Washington's interception of Logan Kilgore set up the score, putting Memphis on the Blue Raiders' 36.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Tigers again intercepted Kilgore in the third quarter, this time by Mohammed Seisay, and again it resulted in a 9-yard score by Gregory.
Ryan Wilson finished with 129 yards and a touchdown on 15-for-28 passing for Memphis. It was Wilson's first start after Cannon Smith suffered a concussion during the Tigers' game against East Carolina the previous week.
Kilgore finished with 161 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions on 16-for-26 passing for the Blue Raiders (1-2).
