SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Mikh McKinney matched his season high with 22 points and added six assists as Sacramento State defeated Bristol 96-60 on Tuesday night.
Eric Stuteville and Alex Tiffin each scored 12 points for the Hornets (3-1). Sacramento State never trailed after Stuteville, Cody Demps and McKinney slashed for back-to-back-to-back layups about 4 minutes in, pumped the lead to 42-27 by halftime and led by as many as 40 before the end.
Sacramento State has never lost to a non-Division I foe under coach Brian Katz (11-0).
The Bears (1-5) are a first-year program playing in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.
Sacramento State pummeled the Bears in the paint, racking up a 54-10 scoring advantage close-in and enjoyed a 42-22 rebounding edge.
Demps finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Hornets and Dylan Garrity added 11 points.
Tade Keshishyan led Bristol with 17 points.
