McKay's brace helps Inverness down Hearts

Edinburgh, Scotland (SportsNetwork.com) - William McKay continued his fine season on Saturday, scoring a brace at Tyncastle Stadium to lead Inverness to a 2-0 defeat of lowly Hearts.

After a scoreless opening period, the visitors took the lead in the 59th minute as McKay opened his account for the day.

He then put the club's win beyond any doubt, scoring his Scottish Premier League-leading 12th goal of the season to help Inverness improve to 32 points on the season.

Hearts remains rooted to the foot of the table on -3 points as it looks to rebound from entering administration.

Dundee United continued to roll on Saturday as it claimed a 4-1 win at 10-man Kilmarnock while Celtic maintained its seven-point lead over Inverness as Teemu Pukki netted the lone goal in the club's 1-0 defeat of Hibernian.

Also on Saturday, John Sutton scored twice to lead Motherwell to a 2-1 defeat of Ross County.
