Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy says linebacker Desmond Bishop has earned a contract extension.
Bishop signed a four-year extension with the Packers this week, a reward for his standout play as a starter in the wake of a season-ending wrist injury to Nick Barnett. The team did not disclose terms, but ESPN reported that the deal was worth $19 million.
McCarthy says Bishop has "earned this" and the coach is proud of the way Bishop has played.
