DALLAS (Reuters) - Dallas Mavericks back-up center Brendan Haywood will miss Sunday's Game Three of the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat with a strained right hip flexor, coach Rick Carlisle said.
Haywood, a seven-footer in his 10th NBA season, has played in all 17 of the Mavericks' playoff games, averaging 3.3 points. He has a total of five points in the two games against Miami in the finals.
Ian Mahinmi, a 6-foot-11 center from France who has played in only three postseason games this year, will see some action, Carlisle said.

"It will change our rotation, obviously," Carlisle told reporters shortly before tip-off. "(Haywood is) one of our biggest guys, we all know that.
"And so we have some different scenarios. Mahinmi will most likely play some minutes. And then there's a possibility we could look at some other lineups that would be obviously smaller. But we're going to have to adjust."
The best-of-seven series is tied at 1-1.
