Maryland suspends RB Brown for season
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Maryland running back Wes Brown, who was second on the team in rushing yards in 2012, has been suspended for the entire upcoming season.
Earlier this week, the Prince George's County State's Attorney's Office dismissed three criminal charges against Brown, according to the Baltimore Sun. The charges are from a July 3 encounter with police.
According to the newspaper, Brown was charged with second-degree assault, wiretapping and stealing a cell phone. The Sun says Baltimore police detectives came to College Park and wanted to question Brown about a non-fatal shooting in Baltimore, but the running back resisted coming to police headquarters. He was reportedly accused of shoving a police detective.

Brown rushed for 382 yards and a pair of touchdowns last season.
