LSU defensive back Donte' Jackson brings some serious speed to the football field.

Reportedly clocked at 4.24 in the 40-yard dash, he played as both a reserve corner and a kick returner for the Tigers this past year.

His speedy pace also translates for the LSU track and field team. In his first race on the collegiate level, Jackson ran the 60-meter dash in an eye-popping 6.66 seconds. It marked the fastest time for any college football player also competing in track. The time placed Jackson third in the event.

Among football players, Jackson bettered the 6.70 run by Louisiana-Lafayette's Jeryl Brazil in January.

With such tremendous acceleration and athleticism, there's no question LSU can utilize Jackson in a myriad of ways as he becomes a more experienced player.
