Leverkusen, Germany – Stuttgart goalkeeper Bernd Leno has up.
Leverkusen was knocked out of the German Cup in the first round by Dynamo Dresden, surrendering a 3-0 lead to lose 4-3 after extra time. The club then lost it opening Bundesliga match 2-0 to Mainz.
The club's top two goalkeepers are unavailable with injuries, as Rene Adler has undergone a knee operation and Fabian Giefer has sustained a concussion.
"We're glad we were able to find a quality solution for this important position so quickly and we're confident Bernd Leno will be able to help us achieve our targets for the season," Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller said in a statement released by the club.
Leno, 19, will join Leverkusen immediately and will remain with the club until December 31st.
