Lennon inks new Celtic deal
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Celtic manager Neil Lennon signed a new one-year rolling contract with the club on Friday, although the boss was quick to point out that the new deal does not carry with it improved financial terms.
The 42-year-old took charge of Celtic in 2010 and has led the club to a pair of league titles and a trip to the knockout round in the Champions League last season.
"It is a new contract but there is no change in the remuneration and there is no change in the way the deal is, in terms of length," Lennon said Friday after signing the contract.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}"It is still a one-year rolling contract, it is just there is a few legal stipulations and conditions that I wanted tweaked a little bit and the club have agreed to do that and I signed it this morning."
Celtic has won its first two games in the Scottish Premier League this season, but lost 2-0 in the first leg of its Champions League qualifying encounter with Shakhter Karagandy on Tuesday.
