Charlotte, NC – Mi Hyang Lee closed with a 4-under 68 on Sunday to win the Symetra Classic by one stroke.
The Symetra Tour rookie ended her first tour win at 8-under-par 208.
Lee looked as though she would runaway with the title on the front nine. She started with three birdies in the first four holes and had three more birdies in the last four holes of the opening nine at Raintree Country Club.
The 19-year-old made the turn at 10-under, but stumbled to bogeys on the 11th and 12th. Lee traded a birdie for a bogey from the 14th and again from the 16th. She parred the last to seal the win.
Olivia Jordan-Higgins also shot 68 in the final round to take second place at minus-7. It was her second runner-up finish in the last five tour events.
Second-round leader Allison Hanna struggled to a 3-over 75 to slide into a tie for third place at 6-under-par 210. She was joined there by Daniela Iacobelli, who shot 68 on Sunday.
