Easton, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Fresh off a Patriot League championship, Lafayette College announced Wednesday head football coach Frank Tavani has received a contract extension through the 2016 season.
Tavani has a 76-83 record through 14 seasons guiding Lafayette. He has been a member of the Leopards' coaching staff for 27 seasons.
Lafayette won the 2013 Patriot title with a 4-1 league record and made the FCS playoffs for the first title since '06, although the Leopards finished the season with a 5-7 overall record. It was their four league title under Tavani.

In 2013, Lafayette football boasted the fourth-best graduation success rate in the NCAA.
