Lausanne, Switzerland (SportsNetwork.com) - Korean swimmer Park Tae-Hwan, who won a gold medal at the Beijing Olympics, was given an 18-month ban by the sport's governing body after testing positive for testosterone.
FINA said Monday that the four-time Olympic medalist tested positive during an out-of-competition test.
His ban is retroactive to Sept. 3, 2014, and will run through March 2, 2016, about five months before the start of the 2016 Rio Olympics.
