NEW YORK (Reuters) - New York Knicks forward Danilo Gallinari will be sidelined for two to three weeks with a mild left knee sprain, the team said Tuesday.
An examination on Monday confirmed the sprain, the Knicks said in a statement.
Gallinari, the Knicks' fourth-leading scorer, was injured Sunday when he collided with Indiana Pacers guard Brandon Rush.
The Italian-born Gallinari is averaging 15.3 points and 4.5 rebounds this season, starting every game for the resurgent 19-14 Knicks.
