LAS VEGAS (AP) — A former co-defendant pointed a shackled hand from the witness stand at a former friend who he said robbed and beat former NFL player Javon Walker in Las Vegas almost two years ago.
Arfat Abdo Fadel testified Tuesday he drove while Deshawn Lamont Thomas choked Walker from behind in a Range Rover and took his diamond-encrusted jewelry.
After hopping out and back in the vehicle, Fadel says Thomas told him he "hit him with a two-piece," and says that meant Thomas punched Walker twice.
Walker was left alone and crouching in a parking lot off the Las Vegas Strip.
Fadel pleaded guilty last week to lesser charges in return for a chance at early release from state prison.
Thomas could face life in prison.
