Kent State vs. South Carolina postponed

Wednesday's College World Series game between Kent State and South Carolina has been postponed until Thursday at noon (et) due to rain.

The postponement creates in a sense a tripleheader at TD Ameritrade Park.

South Carolina, the two-time defending champions, or the Golden Flashes, who eliminated top-seeded Florida, will be ousted in the opener. The winner will move on to take on Arkansas on Thursday night at 9 p.m. (et).

Four hours prior to the nightcap, Florida State battles Arizona. The Seminoles need to win to stay alive in the tournament.
