Kenny leaves QPR for Leeds

QPR goalkeeper Paddy Kenny has left the club to join Championship side Leeds United for an undisclosed fee.

Kenny started 33 Premier League games for QPR last term, but manager Mark Hughes has already added goalkeeper Robert Green from West Ham on a free transfer, paving the way for Kenny to join Leeds on a three-year contract.

"I've loved every single minute of my time at QPR," Kenny told QPR's official website.

"It's been an incredible two years. Winning promotion to the Premier League here is an experience that I'll never forget - as was the roller coaster ride of avoiding relegation last season.

"Everything is now in place for QPR to kick on and become an established Premier League club - and I really do hope that will eventually be the case."

The 34-year-old Kenny joined QPR from Sheffield United prior to the 2010-11 season, and he kept seven clean sheets last term for QPR in its return to the top flight.
