Turin, Italy – Juventus has signed Brazilian defender Lucio to a two-year contract.
The 34-year-old Lucio played with Inter Milan for the last three seasons, but left the club this summer. Capped 105 times for Brazil, he captured the World Cup in 2002.
Lucio completed his move Wednesday, and will strengthen a defense that allowed just 20 goals last season as Juve claimed Serie A with an unbeaten record.
He started his career with Internacional in Brazil, and has also played for Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich in Germany.
