Jooris, Monahan score 2 goals each to lead Flames to 4-2 win over Jets

Josh Jooris and Sean Monahan scored two goals each to lead the Calgary Flames to a 4-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets in a preseason game Thursday night.

Jooris' first goal, at 4:03 of the third period, put the Flames ahead 2-1. Monahan extended the lead just 40 seconds later and Jooris made it 4-1 at 9:05 of the period.

Mark Scheifele and Cliff Thorburn scored for Winnipeg (2-4-0), and Michael Hutchinson had 21 saves.

Karri Ramo stopped 16 shots for the Flames (5-3-0), and Johnny Gaudreau had three assists.

Monahan's first goal of the night opened the scoring at 8:20 of the second period. Scheifele tied it about 6 minutes later.
