Strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will defend her title at UFC 193 against Canadian contender Valerie Letourneau in the new co-main event joining Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm in Melbourne, Australia.

Jedrzejczyk was expected to co-main event at UFC 195 alongside Rousey on Jan. 2, but when injuries necessitated Rousey shifting her fight to November, the promotion followed suit by moving the strawweight title bout as well.

Jedrzejczyk will look to make her second title defense when she returns to action on Nov. 14 after destroying Jessica Penne in her last fight in June.

The Polish striker has been nothing short of astonishing in her last few fights while beating a who's who at 115 pounds, including victories over Claudia Gadelha and Carla Esparza.

Letourneau will get her first crack at the gold after dropping down to 115 pounds two fights ago.

The American Top Team fighter had been a mainstay at bantamweight while facing some of the best opponents in the world at 135 pounds. Since dropping down to strawweight, Letourneau has gone 2-0 including her last victory over Maryna Moroz.

Jedrzejczyk vs. Letourneau joins Rousey vs. Holm as the UFC puts both women's titles on the line on the same card for the first time in history.
