Jarryd Hayne not worried about roster spot, just focused on football

Would it be a surprise if Jarryd Hayne were left off the final 53-man roster?

Perhaps.

Based on his play so far through two preseason games, though, it appears Hayne would survive the final cuts.

His 117 rushing yards ranks second in the league in preseason. He's averaging 21.6 yards per punt on five returns. And his play has surely turned some heads around the league.

Yet Hayne maintains he's not concerned over any of that.

"I'm just worried about football and the rest will work out for itself," Hayne said, via ESPN. "[I'm] too busy to be worrying about those things."

It's a good mindset to have.

But there's no question the main topic around 49ers camp will surround Hayne until final decisions need to be made.
