Parry had a 67, also the Retz Course, to match Sandelin at 13-under 131. England's James Morrison (68), Australia's Richard Green (66), South Africa's George Coetzee (66) and France's Julien Guerrier (69) were 10 under. They all played the Marly Course, the site of the final two rounds.

Harrington, the lone Ryder Cup player in the field, was 2 under after a 74 on the Retz Course.
