Milan, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Inter Milan's descent down the Serie A table continued on Sunday as the club suffered a 2-1 loss to Udinese at the San Siro.

Inter appeared to be in good stead just before halftime as Mauro Icardi gave the hosts the lead in the 44th minute.

But a stout second-half performance from the visitors reversed the deficit as Bruno Fernandes equalized at the hour mark and Cyril Thereau netted the winner 11 minutes later.

The result sees Inter extend its winless run in league play to five games, dropping the club to 12th place in the table with 17 points.

Udinese, meanwhile, snaps its five-game winless run to climb to 21 points.

Napoli was held to a 2-2 home draw by Empoli on Sunday, a fortunate result for Genoa, which moved into third place in the table with a 1-0 win over AC Milan behind Luca Antonelli's early strike.

Lazio overturned a one-goal deficit at Parma on Sunday to collect three points with a 2-1 win. Raffaele Palladino handed Parma the lead before Stefano Mauri quickly equalized, but it was Lazio's Felipe Anderson who scored just before the hour mark to win it.

Rounding out Sunday's action, Gregoire Defrel bagged a brace for Cesena, but Atalanta stormed back to collect a 3-2 home win.
