Inter needs to rebound against Roma

Inter Milan manager Gian Piero Gasperini has not gotten off to a great start with the Nerazzurri, but he will be hoping for a reversal of fortune on Saturday at the San Siro against Roma.

Inter's 4-3 defeat to Palermo to open the new Serie A campaign was followed up with a surprising 1-0 defeat at home to Trabzonspor in the Champions League, heaping plenty of pressure on the new Inter boss ahead of Saturday's contest.

Gasperini had better hope his team can find its form because the club is facing a busy stretch of four games in 10 days beginning with Saturday's match.

Inter will have to wait until September 27 at CSKA Moscow to rebound in the Champions League, but by then, they will have played three more games in Serie A and should be in better form.

Roma has no European distractions to contend with and like Inter, will be trying to rebound from a loss on the opening weekend of the season.

A 2-1 defeat to Cagliari on home soil was not exactly the start that manager Luis Enrique would have wanted, but he remained optimistic after the match and believes his side is headed in the right direction.

Defending champions AC Milan travel to Napoli in a matchup of top-three teams from last season.

The Rossoneri opened the Serie A campaign with a 2-2 draw against Lazio before claiming a 2-2 result at Barcelona in a midweek Champions League match.

Napoli beat Cesena, 3-1, to start its league season and then earned an impressive 1-1 draw at Manchester City in midweek.

Juventus will try to build on a 4-1 win over Parma last weekend when the club travels to Siena, while Udinese hosts Fiorentina with both sides having won their opening matches.

Saturday's other match features Cagliari aiming for a second successive win against Novara, which earned a 2-2 draw against Chievo in its top-flight debut this season.

Palermo visits Atalanta on the heels of its impressive win over Inter, Bologna entertains Lecce, Cesena travels to Catania and Lazio squares off with Genoa.
