Inter meets Hellas Verona in top-five clash

Milan, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Hellas Verona is hoping to continue its surprising start to life in Serie A on Saturday when the club faces a big test against Inter Milan at the San Siro.

Hellas enters the contest one point clear of Inter in fourth place having earned 16 points from eight matches, and last weekend's 3-2 win over Parma was the club's third straight victory.

Manager Andrea Mandorlini didn't expect his team to be in this position at this point in the season, but he feels as though his side deserves to be where they are based on their performance.

"I really didn't think we would find ourselves in this position but I also have to say that we deserve it," Mandorlini said.

"I don't know what will happen next, whether we will return to be normal or perhaps my players will continue to surprise me."

Despite Inter's current form, which includes two draws and a loss in the last three games, it would still serve as a surprise if Hellas was able to come away with three points.

The Nerazzurri sits nine points back of Serie A leaders Roma and the club will be without goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, who is serving a one-match suspension after being sent off in the team's 3-3 draw with Torino last weekend.

Roma aims to continue its perfect start to the campaign when the club travels to Udinese in search of its ninth successive win.

Second-place Napoli hosts Torino after losing 2-0 to Roma last Friday, while Juventus had its four-match winning streak in Serie A snapped last weekend in a 4-2 defeat at Fiorentina. The Old Lady will attempt to return to the win column on Sunday at home against Genoa.

Sampdoria tries to add to its one win this season on Saturday when the club hosts Atalanta, Bologna is the only winless team in Serie A and the club tries to end its poor run with a victory at home over Livorno.

Catania and Sassuolo both reside near the bottom of the league and they will meet up at the Angelo Massimino Stadium, Fiorentina visits Chievo, AC Milan travels to Parma and Lazio entertains Cagliari.
