DALLAS (Reuters) - Green Bay Packers linebacker Erik Walden failed in his quest to be fit for Sunday's Super Bowl against the Pittsburgh Steelers and will sit out the game with a sprained ankle, the team said Sunday.
Walden, who sprained his ankle during last month's NFC Championship win over Chicago, was listed as inactive by the Packers and replaced in the lineup by Frank Zombo.
Walden was unable to practice fully since the injury and his status had been listed as "questionable."
