Inbee Park falls too far behind at St. Andrews in quest for 4 in a row

Inbee Park says her bid to become the first golfer to win four straight majors in the same season is now "almost impossible."

Park couldn't get a putt to fall Sunday morning at St. Andrews. She wound up with a 2-over 74 in the wind-delayed third round of the Women's British Open. When the 25-year-old South Korean walked off the 18th, she was shaking her head over another putt that hit the lip.

She was 10 shots behind Na Yeon Choi and Morgan Pressel, who still had six holes remaining in the third round. But the wind was only moderate.

Park was at even-par 216. Asked if she would stage a rally in the final round Sunday afternoon, Park said it was doubtful because she didn't have enough holes left.
