Bolton, England – Bolton midfielder Stuart Holden will play no further part in the club's battle against relegation due to a knee injury that has limited him to just one appearance this season.
The United States international has returned to training with the club after undergoing rehabilitation in the U.S., but manager Owen Coyle has confirmed he will play no part the rest of the way.
Holden sustained the injury last March in a challenge from Manchester United's Jonny Evans, and has since featured in just one game for Bolton, a League Cup match against Aston Villa on Sept. 20.
