Higdon lifts Motherwell over Hearts
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Michael Higdon scored in the first half as Motherwell defeated Hearts, 1-0, on Tuesday at Tynecastle Stadium in the Scottish Premier League.
Motherwell won its second straight to climb within five points of Rangers for third place, and opened an eight-point cushion over Dundee United for third.
Hearts lost for the second time in three games since the split and is sixth on 49 points.
