Frisco, TX – Daniel Hernandez signed a new three-year coach.
Under the new contract, Hernandez will play at least one more season with the team before he transitions over to a role on the coaching staff under head man Schellas Hyndman.
"Daniel has been such a great leader for us in the locker room and on the field," said Hyndman. "I'm very excited to have him back. He's an integral part of our team. I had the pleasure of coaching him in college at SMU and I'm honored to be a part of this next transition for him and hope to pass along as much coaching knowledge as I can in the next three years. I'm sure he will excel."
Hernandez has made 61 appearances for the Hoops since joining the team late in the 2009 season, while also spending time in MLS with the Los Angeles Galaxy.
The 35-year-old played in Mexico with Puebla, Jaguares and Necaxa before returning to MLS with Dallas.
