Hellebuyck, U.S. shut out Denmark at worlds

Ostrava, Czech Republic (SportsNetwork.com) - Winnipeg Jets prospect Connor Hellebuyck had a 21-save shutout and the United States bounced back from its first loss at the World Hockey Championship with a 1-0 win over Denmark on Friday.
New York Islanders center Brock Nelson scored the lone goal against Denmark goaltender Sebastian Dahm 7:54 into the second period.
Dahm finished with 40 saves.

The Americans, after falling to Belarus 5-2 on Thursday, got their fourth win in five games to reach the top of Group B.
Denmark has lost each of its five games, including one in overtime.
Also Friday, the Czech Republic blanked Austria 4-0 behind a 12-save shutout from Ondrej Pavelec, Norway picked up a 3-1 victory over winless Slovenia and Germany beat Latvia 2-1 on a video review in the final minutes that showed a good goal.
