Kevin Harvick does a better job driving around the track than to the delivery room.

Now that his son is nearly a week old, he can relax more when he competes in the NASCAR Sprint Cup race on Sunday at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He got his wife, DeLana, to the hospital in North Carolina with little time to spare last Sunday when son Keelan was born.

Harvick says he couldn't drive fast around any corners on the trip to the hospital because his wife was in pain. And he said Friday he got a late start on the trip and she gave birth within about two hours of their arrival.

He finished 23rd at Daytona International Speedway last Saturday night, then got home in time for Keelan's birth.
