Hartsock leads BYU over Gonzaga

Matt Carlino added 18 points and Brandon Davies had l5 for the Cougars (19-6, 7-3 WCC), who were coming off a loss against nationally-ranked Saint Mary's.
Perhaps looking ahead to next week's meeting with the Gaels, Gonzaga (17-4, 7-2) went down by 14 at halftime and connected on just 3-of-19 from behind the arc. Sam Dower led the Bulldogs with 15 points, while Gary Bell chipped in 14 in the setback.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Gonzaga failed to net a field goal over the final four-plus minutes of the opening half, and the Cougars' 12-4 run -- capped by Anson Winder's layup at the buzzer -- gave the hosts a 38-24 edge at halftime.
BYU extended an 11-point lead with an 8-0 run midway through the second half, as Carlino's layup provided a 63-44 cushion.
The Bulldogs trailed by double digits until the final two minutes.
