Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Dan Haren tossed 7 1/3 one-run innings and Matt Kemp's power spree continued as the Los Angeles Dodgers took down their crosstown rival Angels on Wednesday, 2-1, from Angel Stadium.

Haren (9-9), who took a perfect game into the sixth inning, allowed just three hits to end the longest losing skid of his career. The former Angel had lost his last five starts.

"I just wanted to do good for the guys," said Haren. "I didn't want to be the weakest link. Mentally, this really helps."

Kemp hit a solo home run, giving him six homers over his last nine games. Andre Ethier had a pair of hits and drove in the other run for the Dodgers, who improved to 11-1 on the season when Kemp goes deep.

Rookie Matt Shoemaker (9-4) was tagged with both runs on six hits while striking out five in six innings to absorb the loss.

Angels star Mike Trout went 0-for-4, as his 20-game interleague hit streak came to an end.

The Dodgers did all of their damage against Shoemaker in the second inning. Kemp led off the frame with a homer to left-center. Carl Crawford then reached on an infield single, stole second and scored easily on Ethier's two-bagger to right.

That was all the support Haren and the Dodgers bullpen would need.

"He worked both sides of the plate," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said of Haren. "He hit his spots tonight. He pitched a good game."

Hank Conger broke up the perfect game with a one-out single in the bottom of the sixth inning. Pinch-hitting David Freese then laced a single to center. Conger had already rounded second when the ball got to Yasiel Puig in center, but the Cuban All-Star fired to Justin Turner at third in time to tag Conger out.

Chris Iannetta hit a sacrifice fly to plate Erick Aybar in the bottom of the eighth for the lone Angels run.

Kenley Jansen came on in the ninth and was greeted by Kole Calhoun, who singled and stole second with Trout at the plate. Jansen overpowered the young star, striking him out on a 3-2 fastball. Albert Pujols then flied to center and Josh Hamilton went down swinging to end the game.

Jansen picked up his 32nd save of the year.

Game Notes

The two teams split a pair of games at Dodger Stadium on Monday and Tuesday. They have one more game scheduled for Thursday to cap the four-game series ... Haren pitched for the Angels from 2010-2012.
