Hardly a flop in the rain, Manning looks good during wet scrimmage

Peyton Manning opened the night with a couple of belly flops, then moved on to what he does best.
Splish-splashing through the rain Saturday night, the Denver quarterback engineered a seven-play touchdown drive during the Broncos' scrimmage at Sports Authority field, capping it with a 4-yard, across-the-body scoring pass to Demaryius Thomas.
This was Manning's first appearance at his home field since last season's upset playoff loss to Baltimore in 12-degree weather.

With rain coming down sideways and the scrimmage in jeopardy of being cancelled, Manning took to the field and did a couple of stomach-first slides to the delight of the fans who stuck out the rain.
Later, with the rain still falling, Manning completed 4 of 6 passes during his 12 plays.
