MILAN --

Inter Milan was held to 1-1 at struggling Atalanta as its Serie A title challenge suffered another blow on Saturday.

Atalanta, loser of its last four matches, was the stronger side and Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic had to pull off some fine saves, including a stunning stop on the hour mark.

Both sides netted own goals in the first half with Inter defender Jeison Murillo giving Atalanta the lead before Rafael Toloi also turned into his own net.

Inter, which fell off the top spot last week following a surprise defeat to Sassuolo, moved a point behind Napoli ahead of the Serie A leader's match against Sassuolo later.

Roberto Mancini's side also went a point above Juventus, which will be seeking its 10th consecutive win at Udinese on Sunday.
