Washington DC (SportsNetwork.com) - The "Battle of the Real HU!" has some other prominent letters this year.
The annual Hampton-Howard rivalry game will take place in the AT&T Nation's Football Classic at RFK Stadium.
Hampton coach Connell Maynor and Howard counterpart Gary Harrell will participate in a news conference Friday at RFK Stadium to promote this year's Friday night lights affair on Sept. 18.
The two HUs will open their Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference schedule against each other in the "Classic."
Hampton leads its rival in the series, 47-43-1, but Howard has won the four meetings, including 30-29 on a last-minute field goal last season. Prior to Howard's winning streak, Hampton had won 14 straight games against the Bison.
Hampton finished 3-9 last season, while Howard was 5-7.
