Groin injury sidelines Warriors' Lee

Golden State Warriors forward David Lee will miss Saturday afternoon's road game against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a groin injury.

On Friday morning, Lee had an MRI, which revealed a strained groin and stress reaction. He was informed by team doctors that he shouldn't play until the groin is fully healed because he could risk additional injury.

The Warriors also said forward/guard Richard Jefferson experienced swelling in his right knee following Thursday night's home loss against Dallas. Jefferson, who was scheduled for an MRI late Friday afternoon, will also miss Saturday's contest.

Thus far this season, Lee is averaging a team-best 20.1 points and 9.6 rebounds, while Jefferson comes in at 9.4 ppg.
